In 2026, Uzbek passport holders can travel visa-free to: Georgia (365 days), Serbia (30 days), Bosnia & Herzegovina (30 days), Montenegro (30 days), Albania (90 days), North Macedonia (90 days), Moldova (90 days), and Belarus (30 days via Minsk airport). Turkey requires an eVisa ($50, instant). These are outside the Schengen zone — none of them grant Schengen access.

Apply at the embassy of the Schengen country where you’ll spend the most nights. For example, if visiting France and Italy, apply at the French embassy in Tashkent if spending more nights in France. You’ll need to book an appointment, attend in person for biometrics, and submit passport, photos, insurance, bank statements, employment letter, hotel and flight bookings, and the completed application form. Processing takes 15–45 business days.

The EES launched in late 2025 and replaces manual passport stamping at all Schengen borders. When you first enter the Schengen zone, your fingerprints and facial image are registered. On subsequent visits, you check in at automated kiosks. The system automatically tracks your 90/180-day allowance. For first-time entrants, budget an extra 15–30 minutes at passport control. The EES does not change visa requirements — Uzbek nationals still need a Schengen visa.

Georgia is exceptionally open to Uzbek passport holders — 365 days visa-free per year, no registration requirements for the first 90 days, affordable cost of living, and direct flights from Tashkent. Tbilisi has become a popular base for Uzbek remote workers and long-term travellers. You cannot work legally without a permit, but the country is ideal for tourism or remote work. Serbia (30 days) and Montenegro (30 days) are good shorter alternatives closer to Western Europe.
